More than half of Penza region residents become Megafon subscribers in last ten years

Penza, 30 October 2013. PenzaNews. On the 10th anniversary of Megafon’s functioning in the region the number of the subscribers in the Megafon subscriber base reached 850 thousand of SIM cards with the total region population of 1,4 million people.

“For us, it is an indicator of our excellent work and for our subscribers – an opportunity to save money. It is beneficial to be a part of the large network. Calls with Megafon to subscribers of the same operator cost twice as cheaper as those of other operators. Thus the more Megafon subscribers there are, the more profitable it is to communicate by the phone. This choice was made by a huge part of the population of the region. And we thank each of our subscribers for their trust,” the director of the Penza branch of JSC “Megafon” Alexey Bryukhachev commented on the results of the work.
The press service of the cellular operator told news agency PenzaNews that 10 most active and loyal clients got personal thanks from the company.
“The awarded are Megafon subscribers with almost 10 years of using the services in record amounts. For example, the winner in the nomination “Golden Voice” has spoken for the biggest number of minutes; “Legendary Author” has sent the most text messages; the prize “No boundaries” went to the subscriber who tried the biggest number of extra services. There are also “young” champions, for example, “First 4G Subscriber.” The director of Penza branch of the company presented the winners with smartphones Megafon 4G Turbo,” the press service said.
The company said that at present a third part of all the subscribers, 270 thousand people, along with voice communication, actively uses the mobile Internet.
“Among the corporate Megafon clients, there are about 200 leading enterprises of the region; the operator provides them with fixed connection and the Internet access, communication channels, services of remote management and monitoring, cloud and other services,” the press service added, noting that communication and the Internet from Megafon are available on 80% of the territory of the region due to resources of huge network with over 750 base stations.
