Ministry of Agriculture of Penza region to support producers of pumpkin and carrot

Penza, 5 November 2013. PenzaNews. The governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev encharged Acting Minister of Agriculture of the Penza region with a task to develop a program to support plant raisers, who decided to produce pumpkins and carrots.
“The Penza land can bring a huge yield of pumpkins and carrots. Carrot is in unbelievable demand, and we are importing it from Israel. Pumpkin juice is sold very well, you can even do business selling pumpkin seeds, one can make preserve from pumpkins,” Vasily Bochkarev said during the meeting in the Penza region government on Tuesday, November 5.
The governor instructed the officials of the Ministry of Agriculture to study the experience of pumpkin and carrot production and think over possible ways to support and develop this business in the territory of the Penza region.
