Opening of technology park “Rameev” in Penza postponed due to governor’s injury

Penza, 2 December 2013. PenzaNews. The opening ceremony of the high technology park “Rameev” scheduled for Wednesday, December 4, was postponed for an indefinite period due impossibility of presence of the first person of the region – the governor Vasily Bochkarev, who injured his leg doing sport exercises.

The head of the department of innovation policy and special projects of the government of the Penza region Valery Bespalov told news agency PenzaNews that the new data of the event is unknown yet.

“It will be agreed with the government of the Penza region and the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media of Russia,” the agency interlocutor said.

According to him, the Minister of Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Nikolai Nikiforov is expected to take part in the opening ceremony.

“Despite the change of the opening date, first residents of the technology park should appear there in December. This week, the object will be accepted for operation, then regular legal procedures will he handled, and the technology park will start its work,” Valery Bespalov said.

The construction of technology park “Rameev” is conducted in the framework of the complex program “Creation of technoparks in the field of high technology in the Russian Federation,” which included 12 regions; the Penza region is among them. The federal budget provides 1,15 billion rubles for its construction.

According to the project, the area of the technopark will be about 6,8 hectares. It will house administrative offices, prototype industry, business incubator, testing laboratories, pavilions manufacturing medical products, pyrocarbon, instrumentation and information technology, repair and maintenance of equipment, storage facilities and vivaria.

It is expected that in the technopark there will be implemented projects of production of implants, coronary stents, surgical suture material, innovative nanocomposites, which will successfully compete on the market with the best foreign samples.

The high-tech technopark is planned to become a center of the medical cluster, which will increase the market share of the domestic high-tech medical products from 3% to 50%.

By 2014, 1,5 work places are planned to be created. It is expected that by that time the annual revenue of the residents will be 2 billion rubles.

The technopark was named after the Soviet scientist and inventor, the developer of the first Soviet electronic computing machines Bashir Rameev, who in the period from 1955 to 1968 worked in the Penza Scientific Research Institute of mathematical machines (JSC “Research and Production Enterprise “Rubin”).
