Penza, 6 December 2013. PenzaNews. The head of Penza Yuri Alpatov stated the need to systematize data concerning all the venues earmarked for investment projects.

According to him, the availability of full and structured information is a prerequisite for effective attracting investors to the city.

“We need to calculate how many suitable plots of land we have, what size are they, what plans there are for them. The issues concerning electricity providing and the availability of transport junctions are important. Investment attraction consists of many factors,” Yuri Alpatov said during the session of the permanent commission of the City Duma on social-economic development, industry, transport, communication and entrepreneurship on Friday, December 6.

The head of the city was also interested to know the fate of the project of construction of the solid waste landfill involving separate disposal of waste of different kinds.

“In many neighboring regions such projects have already been implemented and are profitable. And we have a landfill with burial of solid waste that need to be recycled, but just cannot get the things moving,” he remarked.

As the head of the Penza administration department of economic development and foreign relations Rauf Chakaev said that currently there are a number of external reasons which make it difficult to create such a landfill.

Yuri Alpatov suggested looking for alternatives more actively and asked the deputy head of the city administration Nikolay Zavodovsky to prepare detailed information on the issues stated by the forthcoming session of the City Duma, which is scheduled for Friday, December 20.
