Penza, 27 December 2013. PenzaNews. The governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev called the increase in housing construction and the development of the construction industry main aspects of the economic growth of the region in 2014.

“If there are houses constructed in the district, it lives and evolves. If there is no construction, no industry – the district has no future. Construction projects create jobs, including those in small and medium enterprises engaged in the production of building materials,” Vasily Bochkarev said during an end-of-year press conference on Friday, December 27.

According to the head of the region, the construction industry not only generates the tax base but also contributes to people’s well-being and satisfaction.

“In addition, it is necessary to start producing foam and aerated concrete in the Penza region by March 2014 so that we do not deliver the building materials from Lipetsk. This will allow us to improve the productivity – the plant capacity will amount to 100 tons of local cement a day,” Vasily Bochkarev said.

He added that at present each head of the area is faced with the task of creating at least two repair-and-construction organizations in the territory of each municipal entity.
