Penza, 13 January 2014. PenzaNews. The number of unemployed in the Penza region registered in the employment service bodies amounted to 6,793 people as of the beginning of January 2014.

“The level of registered unemployment is 0,9% of the economically active population of the region,” the press service of the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Demographics of the Penza region told news agency PenzaNews on Monday, January 13.

The press service added that enterprises and organizations announced the need for 11,055 employees to fill vacancies, including 7,945 for blue-collar jobs.

“Tightness of the labor market, distinguishing supply and demand of labor force, is 0,65 for one vacancy. In other words, there are three vacancies for every two job seekers,” the press service remarked.
