Penza, 28 January 2014. PenzaNews. Volume of investments in the economy of the Penza region amounted to 80 billion rubles in 2013. This was reported by the first deputy chairman of the regional government Vladimir Volkov during a press conference on Tuesday, January 28.

“The growth made almost 11 %. This makes it possible to develop the economy, to see trends and the most effective areas, and also to understand how this can affect the region's budget and the plans for social development,” Vladimir Volkov said.
According to him, the Penza region develops mainly due to investments in the real sector of the economy.
“The growth of manufacturing industries is visible, as well as that of food production. There is certain interest in bioenergy, it covers the problem of low quality wood. And the project on saffron milk cap is developing successfully,” Vladimir Volkov specified.
