Penza diesel production plant to set going in March

Penza, 28 January 2014. PenzaNews. The start-up of the plant producing diesel engines, construction of which is carried out in a joint investment project of JSC “Transmashholding” and Finnish company “Wärtsilä,” is scheduled for March 2014. This was announced by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the region Vladimir Volkov during a meeting with reporters on Tuesday, January 28.

According to him, the delay of commissioning made almost three quarters.
“We ran into an unreliable construction partner. This is a problem. There is money, there is a construction ground, there are service links and impeccable financing. And even in these conditions the commissioning dates were disrupted. This seems to be a problem of non-economic field,” Vladimir Volkov noted.
It is expected that the total production will amount to 250 engines per year. By 2015 this index is expected to grow to 273 diesels. The company's earnings will be approximately 67,2 million euros.
