Penza, 11 April 2014. PenzaNews. Agricultural holding specializing in the manufacture of pulp and paper products from miscanthus became the main topic of the meeting of the governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev and the chairman of Moscow corporation “Mashinoeksport” Igor Tarasov held in the regional government on Thursday, April 10.

According to Igor Tarasov, the project involves creation of over four thousand jobs and investment of around 300 million euros.

“Agriculture is a modern high-tech area, which is based on environmentally friendly production technologies, which differ from those traditionally used on paper factories. Holding infrastructure will include manufacturing enterprise, transportation and logistics center, and land plots for the cultivation of raw materials — miscanthus,” he explained.

Igor Tarasov clarified that it would require only 15-20 hectares of land.

As Vasily Bochkarev noted, the Penza region is interested in investment projects that promote the economic potential of the region.

“This is our priority. It is important that your project contributed to its realization,” the governor said.

He also added that there are places in the area that can serve as the basis for creation of agricultural complex, the press service of the government of the region reported.
