“Before the official introduction of sanctions we held a series of meetings with all the large and medium enterprises, industry flagships of Penza. We gathered presidium of Association of Industrialists of the region, and outlined the general effect of sanctions imposed for violation of our close and friendly relations with Ukraine. We identified a number of key positions on which we are dependent on Ukraine. But currently all the issues are resolved. This means that there are no products which would be able to stop Penza enterprises. All issues are being resolved along the way,” Mikhail Torgashin said.

He added that, for example, deliveries from Kharkov plant, with which Penza company “Biosintez” collaborates, will be operated as usually.

However, Mikhail Torgashin admitted that many businesses were forced to switch to a prepaid system and look for duplicate suppliers or manufacturers in Russia or near abroad.

“There remains a number of complex components and assemblies that are hard to find. In particular, we buy diesel generators for shunting locomotives, which are used on the diesel plant. At the moment they are being delivered. If any failures occur, there are analogues by General Electric. They are ready to make a delivery,” the Acting Head of the Department of Industry and Energy of the Penza region concluded.
