PenzaNews. “Gazprom” excluded a number of regions, such as the Penza, Arkhangelsk, Astrakhan, Vladimir, Volgograd, Moscow, Smolensk, Tver, Ulyanovsk, Yaroslavl regions and Ingushetia from the gasification program for 2014. This was announced by the general director of “Gazprom mezhregiongaz” Kirill Seleznev during a meeting with journalists, dedicated to the issues of gas supply to the domestic market, which was held on Tuesday, May 20.

“We excluded those regions which do not fulfill synchronization of consumers or have debts,” Kirill Seleznev said.

He pointed out that in 2014 “Gazprom” is intending to reduce investment in gasification of Russian regions by 18,6 %, down to 27,6 billion rubles.

According to him, the company suggested the Moscow, Tver and Yaroslavl regions finding another gas supplier, as they do not fulfill their obligations repaying debts.

According to official data, the amount of debts to “Gazprom mezhregiongaz” amounted to 141,6 billion rubles as of April 1, 2014. From January 1, 2014,debt growth reached 23%, “Interfax” reported.
