Penza, 5 June 2014. PenzaNews. Participation in the international startup conference “Startup Village,” held in Moscow on June 2-3, became another step on the way to foreign markets for Penza company LLC “Parapharm.” This was announced by its director Dmitry Yelistratov during the event in the high technology industrial park “Rameev,” devoted to summarizing the results of the large forum of innovators.

He said that in the section “Health Breakthrough Technologies,” company specialists presented “Osteomed” facilitating conditions associated with osteoporosis.

“This drug has surpassed western counterparts 10 times. The fact is that we have introduced a new quality criterion for bone diseases. We found that calcium is washed out from the bone unevenly, voids are formed, where fractures occur,” Dmitry Yelistratov said.

He added that at this stage of its development, the company intends to focus on export.

“Last year, the regional government helped us greatly. It supported us financially. The funds were spent for patenting “Osteomed” in 35 countries with total population of over four billion people. So, there is huge potential,” the director of “Parapharm” said.

Dmitry Yelistratov noted that the company was unable to become a winner of Startup Village, giving way to the company, which specializes in the treatment of Parkinson's disease, but Penza professionals managed to make the foreigners interested.

General Director of “Oton” Mikhail Gerashchenko and the representatives of youth innovative center of creativity “NanoElektroLab,” both projects of which — “DinoZoo” and “Revenge of Zhuzha” — were awarded diplomas of the first degree, also commented on their impressions of the event.
