Penza, 17 June 2014. PenzaNews. Protocol on the establishment of cooperation between Penza and Yibin City of Sichuan Province, China was signed on Tuesday, June 17.

The official ceremony took place in the round hall of the government of the Penza region.

The document was signed by mayor Yuri Alpatov and vice-mayor of people's government of Yibin Tszyn Sheehan.

China is an important partner of the Penza region in the field of foreign trade, they maintained trade and economic ties for many years.

In the first quarter of 2014, foreign trade turnover with China amounted to $ 9,4 million, export volume made $ 0,04 million.

According to the official website of Penza City Duma, at the moment, trade and economic relations with China are maintained by more than 20 Penza businesses. Among the most significant exporters are JSC “Biosintez,” JSC “Penzhimmash,” JSC “Mayak,” and JSC “Elektromekhanika.”
