Penza region and Merhav Group agreed on cooperation

Penza, 24 July 2014. PenzaNews. The letter of intent on strategic partnership and mutual cooperation was signed between the government of the Penza region and the Israeli Merhav Group.
The official ceremony took place at the consular department of the Russian Embassy in Israel on Thursday, July 24.
The document was signed by the governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev and the president of Merhav Group Yosef A. Maiman.
“The letter of intent establishes arrangements for coordination, maintenance and development of relations between the parties. In particular, the company will ensure the implementation of projects in terms of innovation strategy, the use of energy-saving technologies, taking into account the requirements of the current legislation of the Russian Federation in the field of environmental protection, rational use and reproduction of natural resources, and environmental safety,” the press service of the regional government told news agency “PenzaNews.”
On Monday, July 21, negotiation between Vasily Bochkarev and Yosef Maiman took place in Israel. The main topic was the implementation of joint agricultural projects. Among other points, the parties reached a preliminary agreement on cooperation with Penza enterprises in the sphere of production of fertilizers and biogas from bird-lime.
