Penza, 31 July 2014. PenzaNews. Potato production cluster will be based in Belinsky area, the Penza region, said governor Vasily Bochkarev at a meeting with journalists in the regional government hall on Thursday, July 31.

“Production territory will be no less than eight thousand hectares,” he said.

Vasily Bochkarev added that the cluster will specialize in the production, processing and sorting of potatoes.

“Construction is already underway, and an operational irrigation system has already been installed,” Vasily Bochkarev said.

He added that currently the authorities are conducting negotiations with banks in order to receive loans for the development of potato cluster.
