Regional delegation members presented the visitors with the most striking examples of Penza region innovations. In particular, they presented the products of OsteoFix, Unimix, Parafarm, Energosistemy, Planar, Ohrannaya Tehnika, LCD Electronics, Enspiromed and Endocarbon companies, NanoElectroLab youth creative innovations center, and the Penza center of commercialized nanotechnologies.

Most of the exhibits were shown in public for the first time in Moscow, but many developments have been successfully implemented in various fields.

For example, the project “Energy saving lighting system based on renewable energy sources,” developed in Penza State Technological University, was highly praised.

The main idea of the project is to create a stand-alone solar powered system based on “Geliolampa” hollowed light-guide fiber. The latter allows to efficiently collect daytime sunlight using a dynamic reflection dome and send it to the light-guide tube covered with special reflective coating, through which it reaches the inner room through a light diffuser. At the same time, the sunlight charges the batteries through solar PV modules mounted in the light-guide fiber. This construction allows to supply the inbuilt LED lamps with energy to provide for room lighting at dusk and evening. This ensures full autonomy of sunlight room lighting system throughout the working hours.

In addition to that, the forum organizers highly spoke of great professionalism of the young participants. Among others, they rewarded Olga Chernova and Vitaly Martyshov, teachers of Penza youth creativity innovation center “From theory to prototype,” with gratitude certificates from the children and youth education policy department of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science.

The students of the youth creative innovations center had an opportunity to take part in specialized workshops and lectures for young researchers; they also took part in an intellectual game, a scribing tutorial and a design thinking session. One of the most exciting experiences for them was a visit to the scientific center of the Lomonosov Moscow State University, as well as to the Moscow State Technical University, and the State Darwin Museum.

The Penza-based Yunimiks company, which creates low-cost 3D printers and related software, presented their products to the audience.

According to Andrei Dashkin, head of the company, 3D printers made in Penza are affordable, easy to use, have authentic effective software, optimal mechanical and electrical design, as well as a free library of 3D-models for spare parts, which allows the owners to print out the replacement for broken details.

As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, the Penza region exposition was organized by JSC “Center of cluster development” with the support of the department of innovation policy and special projects of the regional government.
