“There has been a drop of all key indicators compared with 2013. The total volume of agricultural production fell by 3,3%, milk production by 11,6%, egg production by 16,1%, the cattle by 13,8%,” he said, commenting for PenzaNews agency on reports voiced at the meeting of the coordinating council of the governor of the Penza region on Friday, November 14.

According to Mikhail Usov, such poor performance is extremely surprising, considering the fact that in the Penza region there is Vyacheslav Oryol, deputy government chairman in charge of agricultural issues.

“What this Oryol does is a question. But the results speak for themselves. It is agriculture, which has always been a priority in the region, shows a negative trend. But those industries which develop without the supervision of “governmental bird,” showed an increase,” the leader of Penza Liberal Democrats stressed.

“In this regard, I have the feeling of two possible reasons for this decline in key indicators of the regional agriculture, either Oryol is not doing his best, or the less attention is paid to the industry, the better the result are,” the agency interlocutor concluded.
