Penza, 10 December 2014. PenzaNews. A total of 7.2 billion rubles was invested in the agricultural sector of the Penza region, said Vyacheslav Orel, deputy chairman of the regional government, during a press conference on the preliminary results of the year of 2014 on Wednesday, December 10.

He added that the net financial result of the regional agricultural sector reached 2.2 billion rubles, forming about 50% of the total result of all economic activities.

Vyacheslav Orel also noted that according to preliminary data, about 77% of agricultural enterprises in the region were profitable this year.

“The growth is over 18%. The average salary in the industry is almost 19 thousand rubles, it is about 18% more than last year,” the deputy chairman of the regional government said.
