Penza region and Turkish Mersin province signed agreement

Penza, 20 January 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza region and the Turkish Mersin province have signed an agreement on economic, scientific and cultural cooperation on Tuesday, January 20.

The head of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev signed the document during his Turkey business trip with his colleague Özdemir Çakacak.

As the press service of the regional government informed PenzaNews agency, the joint priority areas include industry, agriculture, construction and tourism.

The second part of the business day will feature the meeting of Vasily Bochkarev with natural goods exporters and importers.

Mersin city of Turkey, administrative center of Mersin province with the city population of about 850,000, is located on the south-eastern coast of the country.

It has well-developed fishing, oil, cement, food and textile industries.

Mersin city plays a great role in Turkey's economy development due to its largest sea port, vital for external trade relations.
