“While in the city of Konya, we were introduced to the activities of Kombassan company holding, a union of organizations involved in engineering and metalworks, oil and gas, mining, construction and production of construction materials, paper and so forth. The meetings resulted in talks on creating a new assembly plant in Penza,” Vasily Bochkarev said during the press conference in the regional government based on the business trip to Turkey on Monday, January 26.

He added that businesses also proposed projects to build housing in Penza: they will be properly discussed during the return visit of the Turkish delegation to the region, that will occur in March.

According to Vasily Bochkarev, another potential investor is a large Turkish company engaged in the production of oils, nuts, corn, citrus juices and sweets.

He said they are currently negotiating the possibility of organizing co-production in Penza.

Among the least important projects listed by the governor is the construction of Penza modern four-star hotel.

“The talks with one of the Turkish investors were not easy, but we have reached an agreement on land purchase and the development of the project,” Vasily Bochkarev said.
