Penza, 10 March 2015. PenzaNews. The agricultural workers and companies of the Penza region deliberately held off buying fertilizer in hopes for lower prices from producers, said the deputy chairman of the regional government Vyacheslav Orel.

“The decrease did take place, but it was a small one. Now, of course, the important thing would be to quickly bring them into the region and use them,” he said during the meeting session of the Penza region government on Tuesday, March 10.

Vyacheslav Orel also noted that areas for crops in the region have expanded by approximately 70,000 hectares compared to 2014; at the same time, amount of summer crop planting has been reduced, since the winter crops went over the planned levels.
