This is the second wallpaper production line installed to satisfy the ever-growing demand for Penza wallpaper, said the general director of “Mayak” Vasily Vdonin.
“Two years ago, we got the first batch of wallpaper from the new production line bought in Germany. The experience has shown them to be in high demand. The wallpaper can rival the imported goods in quality, and our consumers buy them eagerly,” he pointed out.
The production of European-quality wallpaper in Penza, Vasily Vdonin added, is fully compliant to import replacement strategy, a key mission in the current economy reality.
Over 300 million rubles has been invested in the new equipment, he clarified.
In conclusion of his speech, Vasily Vdonin expressed his gratitude to the Penza region governor Vasily Bochkarev, a guest of the production line opening ceremony, for understanding the needs of the company and proving immense support.
In his turn, the head of the region heavily stressed that “some are talking, while ‘Mayak’ is doing something.”
“‘Mayak’ has installed the second production line and is making great modern wallpaper we had never dreamt of making just yesterday. I think your products are the very example for all our industrial facilities,” Vasily Bochkarev said, expressing his belief that the Penza wallpaper will be in demand both in the region and in other parts of the state.
During the ceremony, the governor announced his decision to award Vasily Vdonin the medal of order “For Merit to the Penza Region.”
He also praised the best workers of the facility.
Before the official launch, the director of “Mayak” promised not to stop at the current achievements and in time begin producing the cloth backing for the wallpaper on their own.
After the official part, the guests had a brief guided tour through the facility where they learned more about the main stages of the industry and the end product.
