Penza, 14 June 2015. PenzaNews. The perspective of production and possibly foreign export of turkey meat in the Penza region was the main topic of the meeting between the acting governor Ivan Belozertsev and the board chairman of DAMATE group and “Rusmolko” Naum Babaev held on Saturday, June 13.

According to the facts announced at the meeting, the incubator and chick yards are currently located in the Kolyshley region, while the Nizhny Lomov region houses chick and feeding yards along with the largest poultry meat processing factory in Europe. At the same time, the second incubator, an elevator and a feed mill are under construction.

The project aimed at producing 60,000 tons of meat every year is nearing completion, and the plans for the next stage include foreign export of turkey meat.

The agricultural holding may rely on the all-round support of the regional government in its import replacement projects, Ivan Belozertsev said.

“The exit to foreign markets will give the project another push for development and therefore positively affect the Penza region economy, including through creating more jobs,” the head of the region noted.

In his turn, Naum Babaev stressed that the Penza region’s geographical location and climate give it all the potential to become one of the country’s leading agricultural regions.

“From our side, we will continue to do everything we can to make the projects of our companies able to compete both on federal and international levels,” he added.

The executive officials of the region together with DAMATE group soon expect to hold several meetings with potential investors who see the Penza region as one of the regions with the best agricultural potential, says the press service of the regional government.
