Penza, 19 August 2015. PenzaNews. The regional government is working on allocating and equipping the sites for temporary storage of sanctioned food for its further destruction.

The discussion of the introduction of special economic measures in the region took place during the meeting, held by the chief federal inspector in the Penza region, Dmitry Kadenko on Wednesday, August 19.

It was announced that the competent authorities of the state responsible for regional implementation of the presidential decree of July 29, 2015 “On certain special economic measures in the interest of ensuring the security of the Russian Federation” are Rosselkhoznadzor and Rospotrebnadzor, as well as the Penza regional customs post of the Saratov customs.

In addition, there is an interdepartmental mobile group preventing trafficking of illicit goods, as well as officials authorized to decide on withdrawal and destruction of sanctioned agricultural products, raw materials and food.

Dmitry Kadenko recommended heads of supervisory and law enforcement agencies to actively interact and develop a joint schedule of inspections.

Summing up the meeting, he stressed that the use of special economic measures should be aimed primarily at ensuring the safety of life and public health, the press service of the chief federal inspector informs.
