“Yesterday’s figures of milled grains and legumes are 1,391,600 tons,” announced the Penza region Ministry of Agriculture head during the regional government meeting session on Monday, September 7.

The region holds the first place in the Volga Federal Region in crop yield levels with the average of 2,340 kilograms per hectare, he elaborated.

The agriculture workers of the region also harvested 96,000 tons of sugar beet, 100 tons of sunflower, 445,300 tons of potatoes, and 72,200 tons of vegetables, Andrei Burlakov added.

“We have harvested 39,700 hectares of false flax,” the acting minister pointed out.
