Penza, 7 September 2015. PenzaNews. The municipal rent debt of the Penza companies experienced considerable growth since the beginning of 2015, reaching over 260 million rubles in Penza, announced the acting head of the Penza region State Property Department Andrei Kudinov during the regional government meeting session on Monday, September 7.

In a reaction to the figures, the Penza administration head Yuri Krivov said the authorities “likely punished themselves, so to say.”

“The audit of the Chamber of Accounting resulted in ‘backlog claims’ with bills to renters. Unfortunately, most of the money cannot be paid even through courts,” the mayor said.

In his turn, the acting Penza region governor Ivan Belozertsev pointed out that many debtors are personally known by the officials.

“We will not be working with such people and such businesses,” the head of the region stressed.

He instructed his subordinates to conduct studies of each case.

“Let them leave for other regions, if they treat their native municipality like that,” Ivan Belozertsev added.
