Penza agricultural producers finish sugar beet harvest

Penza, 13 November 2015. PenzaNews. The sugar beet harvest has been complete in the Penza region.

The bulk yield of sugar beet reached 1,451,000 tons, with an average of 313 quintals per hectare, the press service of the regional Agriculture Ministry informed PenzaNews agency.

“In bulk yield of sugar beet, the Penza region holds the second place in the Volga Federal District, second to Tatarstan. As for the average yield, the Penza region is third after Mordovia and Tatarstan,” they pointed out.
