“By the end of the year, we expect this level to reach at least 100% of last year’s level. This became possible thanks to large long-term investment projects in the region. First of all, this is the largest Penza region project in turkey breeding and turkey meat processing by DAMATE Group, one of the biggest in the country, for a total cost surpassing 12 billion rubles,” he said.
Moreover, according to the head of the region, “Rusmolko” in the Penza region continues its work to develop local dairy farming and vegetable farming industries.
“Through its strategic partnership with Olam (Singapore), ‘Rusmolko’ already opened several facilities, and the construction continues. The investments in the regional economy surpassed 10 billion rubles,” he added.
Ivan Belozertsev also stressed that the investment project “Modernization of Production of Medicine Through 2021” implemented by “Biosintez” factory received 2.6 billion rubles of investments, and the production volume has grown by 133% in 2015.
“Over the recent years, ‘Mayak’ holding continues its constant process to modernize production and open new lines. In particular, the company is working on the project to open its sixth paper production line, with 3 billion rubles of investments. This year, the enterprise launched the new 200-million-ruble printing line, helping reduce imports from Germany, Italy and Ukraine. The overall production volume in ‘Mayak’ holding reached about 7 billion rubles, 2.5 times more than in 2009,” the governor said.
At the same time, the company “Stankomashstroy” works on an investment project to create a metal processing equipment factory.
“It received 348 million rubles of investment. The first production line already launched this year, and another one is scheduled for the next year,” Ivan Belozertsev said.
