During the videoconference meeting with heads of municipalities held on Monday, January 18, one of the region area administration heads said that representatives of Rosselkhozbank, during a discussion of issuing a loan to an enterprise, “are not giving an outright now, but are giving nothing less than 18%.”

In return, Ivan Belozertsev recommended to turn towards Bank Kuznetsky.

“We have a regional bank, Bank Kuznetsky. Three months ago, we discussed with Dralin [Bank Kuznetsky board chairman] and Bespalov [deputy chairman of the regional government], after a meeting with bankers, an opportunity to capitalize the equity capital of the bank suing the regional budget and use it to reduce [loan] interest rates to develop industry, SMEs and agriculture in the Penza region,” noted the governor.

He instructed the Penza region government chairman Nikolai Simonov to invite Mikhail Dralin, heads of relevant ministries, and lawyers, to discuss the issue in the afternoon of Monday.

“Not every region has a regional bank. We do. If there is an opportunity and it is beneficial for the budget, for the business, for the industry, for support of various fields, that is the solution we could accept, and it would go on developing,” the governor stressed.

The work on the issue must result in a legally and economically sound solution, Ivan Belozertsev added.

“We must create proposals in this area by the end of the week – in regards to level of possibility to enroll in the project,” tasked the Penza region governor.
