“There were interesting proposals – meaningful, backed with facts. The speakers were professionals in their fields – both theorists and practitioners,” said the leader of Penza Communists.
He stressed that the announced points “were brief and concise” and “contain the answers to the challenges the country is facing today.”
“I believe that if the government would build upon our program, or if there would be a new Leftist government built from scratch with our people in the economic section, Russia and each region would be able to achieve great success,” Georgy Kamnev claimed.
According to the deputy, a notable feature of the forum was the fact that it featured “people from the earth” – representatives of large agricultural companies and agriculture associations, along with the top management of the State Duma industry committee.
In particular, he pointed out that one of the speakers was Andrej Hunko, German MP for the Left Party, who speaks in favor of canceling anti-Russian sanctions.
“All of them see the way out of the crisis not in reforms of the liberal government, but through the very economic program suggested by the Communists, which allows for intensive development of industry and agriculture,” he explained.
Georgy Kamnev also pointed out that he was able to have a word with forum participants from other regions, including Yuri Boldyrev, economist, essay writer and professional politician; Vadim Potomsky, governor of the Orel region; Sergei Levchenko, head of the Irkutsk region; and Anatoly Lokot, mayor of Novosibirsk.
Moreover, according to the leader of the Penza Communists, he met with the CPRF Central Committee chairman Gennady Zyuganov, who asked him about the state of affairs in the region.
“He addressed our party organization his wishes for positive development,” concluded the first secretary of the Penza region CPRF committee.
