In his analysis of the figures, the mayor concluded that five of the large city enterprises reduced their production volumes, which affected their taxes.

During the meeting, Vyacheslav Gladkov stressed that due to the current economic situation, he as the city administration head is greatly concerned over the population employment issue. In turn, the business-makers assured him their companies are planning no cuts.

In some cases, they explained, the decrease in production volume is related to the abnormally high levels last year when cosumer demand peaked due to a spike in currency exchange values.

The parties present at the meeting expressed their hopes that the situation will even out in the nearest future, says the public relations department of Zarechny.
