Penza region unemployment level calculated at 4.7%

Penza, 26 April 2016. PenzaNews. The current unemployment level in the Penza region is 4.7%, says Rosstat based on the results of a selective analysis of workforce aged 15-72 in Q1 2016.

According to published information, the average unemployment level holds at 5.9% in Russia as a whole, and at 5.1% in the Volga Federal District.
The workforce figure – the number of working-age population – in the Penza region is estimated by Rosstat at 704,800 workers.
671,600 of them are classified as employed, and 33,200 as unemployed – those who have no job or a source of income-producing employment and are ready to research potential openings to get a new job at the week when they had taken part in the analysis.
The lowest unemployment level in the Volga Federal District – 3.7% – has been registered in Tatarstan.
It holds below the threshold of 5% in a total of four regions: Nizhny Novgorod (4.3%), Samara (4.5%), Penza (4.7%) and Mordovia (4.8%).
At the same time, it holds at 5.1% in the Orenburg and Ulyanovsk regions, 5.3% in the Kirov region, 5.6% in the Udmurtia region, 5.8% in the Samara region, 6% in Bashkortostan, 6.1% in Mariy El and Chuvashiya, and 6.7% in the Perm Krai.
