Penza authorities to increase contacts with Turkish investors

Penza, 4 July 2016. PenzaNews. The Penza region government must increase its bilateral contacts with Turkish partners after the close relationships were suspended due to political and economic issues, the Penza region governor Ivan Belozertsev instructed during the regional government meeting session on Monday, July 4.

“Right now, we need to intensify work with them, because we allocated landplots for them, and free of charge too,” the governor said, adding that the region invested big money in the mutual projects.

In turn, the Penza region governor deputy chairman Andrei Luzgin explained that he got in touch with the Turkish partners, who went down on their business activities due to the month of Ramadan.

According to Ivan Belozertsev, the government must keep note of the changes in policy and act in unison with the rest of the country.

“If they want to work, build enterprises, a confectionary factory, a brick factory, let them come and build them,” he said, adding that the region could find new investors if the dialog is not reestablished.

However, Andrei Luzgin said that the Turkish partners confirmed their interest, and are currently awaiting the response of the Russian Sberbank on a loan for the construction of the brick factory.
