Penza, 19 July 2016. PenzaNews. The agreement between the governments of the Penza region and the Chinese Hubei province on cooperation in the field of agriculture was signed during the first meeting of the Cooperation Council of the Volga Federal District regions and the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze river of the People’s Republic of China in the format “Volga-Yangtze,” which was held in Ulyanovsk on Tuesday, July 19.

The event was chaired by the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy in the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich and the member of the PRC State Council Yan Tszechi.

The agreement, concluded between the Penza region and the Hubei province, aimed at the development of favorable conditions for bilateral cooperation and establishing direct contacts between agricultural enterprises of the regions.

The priority areas of the collaboration are cattle raising, construction of greenhouses for vegetables growing, processing and sale of agricultural products, as well as the exchange of experts in the sphere of agricultural technologies, the press service of the Ministry of Economy of the Penza region reports.
