“The companies are working, getting good income, paying taxes. If we have working enterprises today: here is a question – why no increase in salaries?” he said during the regional government meeting session on Tuesday, August 2.
The head of the region stressed that the tax income in the regional budget is increasing, which signifies growing income.
“Some do have issues, we realize it, but overall, the agricultural companies […] that have good yield get good income. The food processing companies have good income. […] They are telling us about issues they have, but they increase the volumes. […] If they are increasing the production volumes, if their income is increasing, then why there are no salary increases from the Penza region government, heads of municipalities, heads of companies?” Ivan Belozertsev elaborated.
Also, the governor urged to achieve better results in countering illegal income schemes.
