“The complex will open in December this year. It is necessary to work with technologists — to study what materials are required for the cultivation of mushrooms, which Penza enterprises are able to supply them,” the head of the region said during his visit to the plant on Tuesday, September 6.

He also suggested considering the issue of marketing.

“The issue of marketing should be addressed now, in order to have no problems when the first portion of the product arrives,” Ivan Belozertsev said.

As the press service of the Penza regional government informs, 5.5 thousand sq. meters will be set for oyster mushroom and Chinese popular royal oyster mushroom. The production is distinguished for the use of liquid mycelium which is more productive than conventional. This technology accelerates the cycle of reproduction. It is used in Russia for the first time.

The project worth 250 million rubles is designed for five years. After the start of operation its capacity will be up to 2 tons of mushrooms per day, and the maximum is 9 tons per day.
