“My House, My Yard” project of Zarechny reaches final of socio-economic development competition

Penza, 16 September 2016. PenzaNews. The project “Organization and conducting of city competition of public initiatives on the improvement of inter-yard areas “My House, My Yard” of Zarechny, the Penza region was included in the final list of the competition for best practices of socio-economic development of Russia named after Saltykov-Shchedrin.

It won in the category “Creating comfortable living conditions.”
This competition is held by the Agency of Strategic Initiatives for promotion of new projects, and is aimed at addressing socio-economic problems in the Russian Federation.
The Agency received 302 applications from 68 regions of which the jury selected 19 projects, the press service of the Ministry of Economy of the Penza region informs.
The project on conducting city competition of public initiatives on the improvement of inter-yard areas “My House, My Yard” is carried out since 2010. The project provides for joint actions of the city residents and the municipality on landscaping, gardening and developing of the territories of residential districts.
Also, the citizens have an opportunity to attend lectures and master classes on landscaping. The most active participants of the competition of public initiatives “My House, My Yard” will visit international exhibitions and festivals.
