Complex for deep wheat grain processing to be created in Penza region

Penza, 5 October 2016. PenzaNews. The issue of establishing a biotechnological complex for deep processing of wheat grain in the Penza region became the major one during the meeting of Governor Ivan Belozertsev, company “Agrobio21” and “August” firm held on Wednesday, October 5.

The sides discussed prospects and conditions of cooperation for the organization of production of import-substituting products for the agriculture and food industry in the region. The project is expected to attract the innovative capacity of the domestic biotechnology. It is planned to use proprietary microbial strains for the industrial production of import-substituting feed additives for livestock with a view to supply products for export.
The project provides deep processing of wheat grain in the amount of 100 thousand tons per year with a capacity of simultaneous storage of 40 thousand tons per year. In addition, it is proposed to set up production of lysine, wheat gluten and bran.
Ivan Belozertsev urged not to delay the launch of the project.
“We must act quickly. Together with representatives of the regional government prepare a road map, make your suggestions on preferences and benefits, conditions of realization of the investment project, we are ready to consider and adopt specific management decisions,” he stressed.
According to the calculations of investors, creation of a modern high-tech production with guaranteed sales market provides tax revenues in the amount of no less than 700 million rubles per year and employment by creating 200 new jobs.
The estimated construction period of the new plant is 3 years, the project payback is 7 years, the press service of the regional government informs.
