Work on formation of clusters, which is actively carried out on the territory of Penza and the region, proved its efficiency in support of small and medium business development. This opinion was expressed by the head of the consumer market department of assistance to small and medium business Olga Zhovtyak.

“Firstly, federal and regional money is allocated for support. Secondly, this allows our entrepreneurs to reach a higher level of both services and sales,” she said during a meeting of the permanent commission of the city Duma on socio-economic development, industry, transport, communication and entrepreneurship on Friday, October 14.

Olga Zhovtyak stressed that the administration of Penza actively cooperates with JSC Center of Cluster Development.

“We believe that one of the merits of the administration of the city of Penza is creation of the light industry cluster, because for over 2 years we had tried to unite […]. Finally, this year with the help of the governor’s involvement, the cluster of light industry was created. Already in September it was presented at the exhibition in Moscow and won some awards,” she noted.
