During the meeting, held on Thursday, October 20, the head of the region told the Turkish investor about plans to construct a bypass road in Penza, which will connect Arbekovo and Ternovka residential areas.
“Now in Russia public-private partnerships in road construction are developing, gaining pace. […] Our residential area of Ternovka, “Sputnik” are developing, growing, multi-story housing is erected. This road under the project could go up to the airport. We plan to develop logistics at our airport, […] plan to build – we’ll probably start next year – a terminal building, […] and the road would be necessary to us,” Ivan Belozertsev said.
He noted that there also will be turnoffs to other residential areas of the city.
“If you get interested in the project, we will be happy to discuss it and the possibility of its further designing and construction with you,” the governor said.
According to him, in the nearest future, it is intended to finish the road map for calculating all expenditures for the road, which is planned to be toll.
In turn, Cahit Ozgur said that he is already familiar with the project and the company prepared a series of questions.
Director General of Cemir Ozgur company added that for the success of the project it is necessary to consider the possibility of a turnoff to the federal highway, as well as to develop a concept of the nearby territory improvement.
“When we consider this project, we would like this to be included, too. We will definitely pursue this matter, too, and in order to make both the sides understand how we will move forward, we need to show how we construct roads. That we can do in Antalya. Roads in Antalya are waiting for you to come,” Cahit Ozgur said addressing to Ivan Belozertsev.
