Penza, 27 October 2016. PenzaNews. The average salary in the Penza region in 2017 is expected to be at the level of 26,600 rubles. This was announced by the first deputy minister of economy of the Penza region Rauf Chakaev while introducing the forecast of the socio-economic development of the Russian Federation entity in 2017 and 2018-2019 planning period at the meeting of the regional government on Thursday, October 27.

“At the end of the year, real wage growth is projected at 1.6% vs. the last year fall at 9.4%. This is provided primarily by salary growth in leading industries, as well as the implementation of the May edicts of the President of the Russian Federation,” he said.

Rauf Chakaev said that according to forecasts, in 2019 real wage will increase by 5.5% to the level of 2015, but it will not reach indicators of 2014.

“By estimate, in 2017 the wage will amount to 26,600 rubles and will increase by 6.7% to the level of 2016,” he noted, adding that the average annual salary increase in 2018-2019 will amount to 6%.

He also added that in 2017 growth of real incomes of the population will resume, with the poverty rate decreasing, however, this process will be interrupted by increase of the market basket cost.
