Yagov: Penza residents do not work in industry, construction and agriculture because of low salaries

Penza, 16 November 2016. PenzaNews. Most of vacancies in industry, agriculture and construction remain unclaimed because of low salaries in the Penza region. Such opinion was expressed by the chief of the regional government Oleg Yagov during the office meeting on the implementation of the best practices of the investment climate national rating in the Penza region on November 16.

"As of November 1, 2016, the  employment service data base had 9,269 vacancies offered by enterprises and organizations of all forms of property, with 5,197 belonging to blue-collar jobs. […] Tension factor at the labour-market decreased and the amount of vacancies increased by 1,030 units," Oleg Yagov reported.

According to him, applicants are not satisfied with the level of salaries offered.

“The average salary for offered vacancies […] at industrial enterprises is 15,500 rubles, in agriculture – 15,900 rubles and in construction it is slightly more – 21,200 rubles,” the deputy of the head of the regional government said.
