Penza, 16 November 2016. PenzaNews. The amount of people who stayed in collective accommodation facilities in the Penza region increased by 29,8%, that is to 124,000 people, during 9 months of the 2016 year in comparison with the same period of the 2015 year.

Besides, the amount of means of accommodation increased by 12%. As of October 1, there were 177 of them: 119 hotels, 34 tourist camps, 12 sanatoriums and 12 children’s holiday camps.

The volume of provided tourism services from January to September is about 903 million rubles.

According to the official data, the region has more than 1,000 public eating facilities including 60 restaurants, 136 pubs, 483 cafes, 101 buffets, 139 canteens and 94 fast-food restaurants.

In addition, there are 5 theatres, 12 estates, 389 monuments, 162 cathedrals, 62 sacred springs, 6 nature reserves and the zoo.

For disabled people there are 50 hotel facilities and other means of accommodation, as well as 224 places of attraction, the portal “Tourism and rest in the Penza region” says.
