Penza region included in Russian top 4 confectionary production volumes rating

Penza, 22 November 2016. PenzaNews. The Penza region was named one of the top four regions of Russia with the highest volumes of confectionary production over the first 9 months of 2016, according to the research of the Confectionary Market Research Center.

According to the provided data, 102.4 tons of confectionary products were manufactured in the Penza region from January to September, besides the volume of the produced goods increased by 15.5% in comparison with the same period of the 2015 year.
Commenting on the results of the investigation, the Deputy Chairman of the Penza region government Valery Bespalov said that the region has many confectionary producers that formed the Confectionary Workers Union cluster in 2011.
“With the assistance of the Center of Cluster Development the regional confectionary enterprises take part in international and Russian exhibitions, increase workers’ professional skills, conduct marketing researches, implement perspective cooperative projects,” he reminded.
According to Valery Bespalov, higher positions in domestic ratings as well as escalation of sales geography – Penza confectionary products are delivered to more than 50 regions of the Russian Federation, Commonwealth of Independent States, neighbouring countries and beyond – proves the effectiveness of the conducted work.
“Nowadays, China is a perspective market for the cluster enterprises. In order to expand the market of our goods and to develop Penza manufacturers export, the enterprises will present their production at a single stand of the Confectionary Workers Union cluster at the biggest Chinese food exhibition «Seal China – 2017», which will be held in May, 2017, in Shanghai,” the Deputy Chairman of the Penza region government said.
