Penza, 25 January 2017. PenzaNews. The Penza region will receive 625 million rubles from the federal budget for the implementation of the project "Safe roads of high quality".

The allocation of the inter-budgetary transfers was approved by the Russian government and signed by the Russian prime-minister Dmitry Medvedev.

A total of 30 billion rubles will be allocated for the realization of the project, which is a priority in the state programme of the Russian Federation "Transport system development". The funds are distributed among the 34 regions.

The highest amount – 1,837 million rubles – was allocated to the Samara region.

It is expected that the transfers will contribute to the development of the public roads network of regional, inter-municipal and local significance.
