Milk production increases by 3.5% in Penza region

Penza, 13 February 2017. PenzaNews. The amount of milk production at enterprises of all categories increased by 3.5% and reached 19,459 tons in the Penza region in January 2017 compared to January 2015.

As it was reported by the Penzastat website, the maximum growth – 11.1% – was provided by farms and individual entrepreneurs. However, the total volume of their production is small – 1,761 tons.
Milk production in agricultural organizations increased by 51% – from 11,686 to 12,286 tons.
At the same time, private households showed a negative trend. In January 2016 they produced 5,534 tons of milk while this year – 5,412 tons, which is 2.2% less.
Generally, the overall picture of 2017 is such: 63.1% of milk was produced in agricultural organizations, 27.8% – in private households, 9.1% – by farmers and individual entrepreneurs.
Compared to the previous year, the figures did not change great, last year they amounted to 62.2%, 29.4% and 8.4% respectively.
