Penza, 14 February 2017. PenzaNews. The governor Ivan Belozertsev decided to allocate 100 million rubles for the reconstruction of the Sura embankment in Penza. This was reported by the press service of the regional government.

According to the head of the region, he expects to see "adequate efforts of the city administration".

"The regional centre has a lot of issues at present – it is necessary to repair facades of the buildings, to make road repairs, to bring the city architecture into line with the modern requirements, to improve yard territories. Nevertheless, the task of the embankment reconstruction must be completed," Ivan Belozertsev noted.

At present, the regional Ministry of Finance considers the question of financing the embankment reconstruction in accordance with the governor's order.

By now, the concept of the Sura embankment development was created. It includes the plan of capital repairs, renovation of the existing objects, such as the Rostok monument, and creation of new ones, such as recreational areas, pedestrian paths, playgrounds, and an open-air amphitheater.
