Penza, 18 February 2017. PenzaNews. In 2016 citizens of the Penza region bought products including beverages worth 89,342 million rubbles, which is 3% more than last year.

As it was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture, non-food items worth 109,273 million rubles were bought by the population in 2016.

"Retail turnover per person in 2016 amounted to 147,264 rubles, and in 2015 – 141,527 rubles. The share of markets and fairs in retail turnover equaled to 5.7% in 2016 , which is almost 1% less than in 2015," the department added.

The ministry noted that in 2016 catering turnover amounted to 9,323 million rubles.

"Catering turnover per person equaled to 6,912 rubles. In 2015 the analogous indicator amounted to 6,657 rubles," the press service specified.

The Ministry of Agriculture explained that services worth 46,433 million rubles, including household services worth 2,244 million rubles, were provided to the population in 2016.
