Penza, 2 March 2017. PenzaNews. The governor of the Penza region Ivan Belozertsev urged representatives of trading networks to enhance collaboration with local producers.

"There is a project in trade retailing that has the following motto 'Choose Penza products, keep standards high'. There are many people who do not want to buy products manufactured in the Penza region. [...] In 2017, I would like to ask you to support this project even more actively," the head of the region said during the meeting that was held in the regional government on Thursday, March 2.

He said that as of December 1, 2016, there were 438 agreements on supply of Penza products to retail chains, though the governor believes that this number should be increased.

In addition, Ivan Belozertsev noted that Penza products should be sold in other regions as well.

"The authority of the Penza region should be maintained even beyond its borders," the governor said.
