Penza, 28 April 2017. PenzaNews. Investment of over 65 billion rubles was directed at the development of economy and social sphere of the Penza region in 2016. This was reported by the governor Ivan Belozertsev when he was making a report at the 43rd regular meeting of the Legislative Assembly of the region on Friday, April 28.

"In order to be objective, it is necessary to say that the investment of 2016 is less than that of the previous year because in 2015 we finished the largest investment projects of such companies as "Damate", "Rusmoloko", "Bashmakovsky khleb"," the head of the region explained.

He also outlined some trends.

"In 2016 the greatest investment growth was observed in construction, which increased almost twice, in production and distribution of electricity, gas and water – by more than one third, in public administration and social security – by 3.9 times," Ivan Belozertsev specified.
